If you have any connections with your local BMW dealer, you can have them run the VIN through their internal vehicle history report system. You'll be able to obtain the car's MSRP and option sheet, as well as service history.

This needs to be done by someone with manager level access in BMW's internal reporting system. Sales personnel have limited information access and can only research vehicles that were sold by their dealership. Managers will typically have unlimited access. However, they won't do it for anyone. Typically, you need to be a friend of the dealership.
