Thanks for the input all...Yeah I know all about the V1..but there's too many false alarms for my tatse. My passport works perfectly, and false alarms are rare. I have POP detection mode and Expert mode on the programming. So its not that I don't like the passport..Its that I was wondering about its range after a few years. I may revisit the V1 idea in a while..But the next thing i'm considering is a laser jammer/shifter...Laser Interceptor has stellar results from what I've researched..

Radar/Laser detectors are receivers, they don't actively ping or send out a signal, so they can't lose range or decrease in sensitivity unless they're broken or the lens is clouded, or etc
