So I had my surgery...

And will be home from work this week and all of next. (had vacation time to kill before September anyways)

Just had my tonsils and adenoids removed. (had tonsillitis and they were 4X in size) Minor surgery but damn my throat is uncomfortable.... Thank god for ice cream, jello and roxicet!

Get well! I hear that type of surgery (as well as many others) gets more uncomfortable with age.

Feel better.

I had my tonsils out when I was 37. It was not a pleasant week afterwards. Take some time to really relax and recuperate.

I was originally planning on watching all kinds of movies this week during recovery, but bad luck in a couple ways happened... The bulb let out on my projector about 2 weeks ago, and I didn't get a new one yet (~$400) so I broke out the old 32" tube TV and hooked up all the inputs to it. Then just to really screw with me my surround sound went out!!! Cracked it open and the main diode bridge in the power circuit fried... so I guess a trip to circuit city will be in order soon.

I just wasn't meant to have that movie experience this week. Went from a 120" 1080i projector watching blueray discs over thunderous surround sound that rivals theaters. (at least in this small room) But no, watching comedy central and discovery shark week on basic cable.

Ah Chappelle Show....man I wish that show was still in production. I got the box set myself.

Always Sunny in Philadelphia is another good show to do marathon-style.
