So in SSH, I got the folder called "photos" that is 1.63 gig and am transferring it to my desktop... any ideas from there?

The French to English translation was probably off a bit, but the general idea is the same, the hard drive tanked, there's no way that she knows what broke or wore out without opening the drive.

What file format are the files in that you are pulling off?
