Yes that is approximately a year from now.

The real questions is what functions of the
iPhone will Verizon attempt to disable in order
to try to make to customer pay more?....

I've heard that AT&T is still not great in terms of service.

I see what you are saying - Interesting what the CEO of Verizon said when AT&T got the deal - pretty fishy. AT&T decided they wouldn't try to compete with iPhone and you know that Verizon already does.

On Monday, Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg told analysts that Apple "wasn't interested" in striking a deal with his company two years ago. "I have no thoughts on why they did what they did," he said.

Everybody knew why Apple went with AT&T
and he knew why as well.

I believe these are his words back in 2008

I am sure that they will kill the GPS, so you will need/pay for the Verizon application VZ navigator.

They did, the iPhone's popularity is the only reason Verizon has loosen up so much on their policies. Without the iPhone, Verizon probably would've never release an Android based phone.

Google Map with GPS enable on Verizon is something you would've never....NEVER see on a Verizon Wireless device back in the day. Hell they even dumped that half a** Get It Now concept.
