I had made plans to go to an autocross at the BMW plant on my birthday, but was told by my sister "You'd better NOT!" Friday brought my brother and 8 of our friends (6 from NJ,1 GA, 1 KY) to surprise me. We spent the weekend playing war games, as we had done for so many years at my place when I lived in NJ. It's been 8yrs since I left NJ (the ONLY state which is free to get in, but you must PAY to get out), and I've met with them when I've visited NJ, but this was the first time they have come to my place. They even had T-shirts made up with "The March to Mark's". We all showed our age when we broke up and went to bed shortly after midnight (3 hotel rooms & my place), vs when we were younger, we'd play Fri thru to Sun. It really humbled me. The cliche, "the more things change, the more they stay the same", was very evident. It was a GREAT weekend! I told them if this is what happens on my 60th birthday, I'll have to have one every 3-4 months from now on!
