 With Android, "rooting" a phone allows tethering, or the use of a program called PDAnet works too. Check that program out. I think there is a version for BB.

I broke down and signed up for the $15 plan. 5GB is plenty of broadband time. As soon as they turned the switch, I was connected. The speed is great...just wish the price was part of the BB unlimited service. Good thing is, it can be turned off at anytime with no fees.....Phil

OK, so I got connected fine after calling Verizon. So here's the next big question...I've discovered that I can connect via Bluetooth. This option enables me to connect without opening Blackberry desktop manager. Anyone have experience connecting via bluetooth? Is there a dip in speed and connectivity?........Phil
