Since 1988 I have had one problem with a monitor
that was fixed by Apple under warranty. I also own this
laptop that still works and runs Windows.

Just to add some comedic fuel to the fire, the windows XP machine at my house has been hit hard by a nasty trojan and some rouge spyware software (xp defender) to the point that it can't even go online or run half the programs on it... so I'm having to use my still completely trouble free iMac to download the needed programs to get rid of these problems and transfer it to the windows machine via cd.

Not that I'm a brand loyalty fanboy as we have everything at my house... XP, Vista, windows 7, and my old mac with OSX. The only reason I ever thought to get a mac was when I wanted to throw my windows machine out of the window daily from problems. I had to completely reformat and reinstall windows on more than one occasion in the past, not a problem with the apple product. Though I do plan on upgrading the OS from tiger to snow leopard just so I can use the new magic mouse.

I'm not an Apple fan boy, but... oh, what the hell: yes, I'm an Apple fan boy. And I have a good reason for that. They make great products, and provide outstanding customer service.

We have five Macs and one Windows PC in our house. One of the Macs is new (got a Mac Mini for our son last Xmas). All the other Macs are at LEAST three years old. Not ONE problem. No, I lie. My oldest son's MacBook's case started cracking, and Apple replaced the entire case for free -- even though it was out of warranty. The Windows laptop is less than one year old (belongs to my father-in-law), and IT has already had to be completely rebuilt. Twice! And this despite the anti-virus software I personally installed on his machine.

My iPod is four years old, still using its original battery, and going strong. Ditto for my wife's iPod.

The iPhone is STILL the best smart phone in the market, and will only get better. (I do like the Droid. Too bad Google is infringing on patented Apple multi-touch technology.)

Yeah, my ipod is pretty old too, the original 30gig ipod video back when that was the newest/biggest and baddest ipod available!

All these years later my only problem is that I now have more music than can fit on it so I'm eventually gonna get a new one t for a bigger storage drive.
