god this is annoying.

I've timed out dozens of times now because of AT&T checking my upgrade eligibility - FINALLY get through and then it times out AGAIN

I had that same message when I called AT&T's upgrade code (Dial *639#)

When I finally got through to the store today it said it was $299 for the phone and no other fees.

PS ended up getting an order to finally go through!

I tried ordering from both AT&T and Apple online for about 7 hours today. I even tried Apple's new App Store app. I obviously wasn't trying consistently but that was a lot of wasted time

I walked over to my local AT&T store in mid-town NYC. The line wasn't too bad -- only 12 people long. AT&T screwed up my order though -- they processed my credit cards four times and I had to spend twice as long there as anyone else!!!! I'm fully expecting to see four $300+ charges on my credit cards that I'm going to have to dispute three of. What's up with the AT&T internet and systems? I find their wireless network OK -- you would think that their systems would be up to par though -- otherwise why do this pre-ordering!!!

Only good thing is that I pick up my 32GB iPhone 4 from AT&T on 7/24 It'll be nice to "pass down" the iPhone 3G to another member of my family...

Apple requires it to go to a billing address? I guess it worked out for me, I live in SC and it bills to my home in Maine. That would suck.

And I don't have to pay tax since its in SC. Maybe not living next to NH isn't that bad after all

got mine today. 16Gig you have to go to the stores. people have been getting kicked out all day. its either to many people on line or they had some security breach through the IPAD.

Had trouble with timing out on Firefox. Downloaded Opera and placed the order the first time around at 10:19pm est.
