Hard to figure who else would like metal on this forum... But I love it!

So here, have a local band from here in New Orleans for another taste of metal in this thread! I know a couple of these guys from back in the high school days and have taken many shots of jager with the guitar player.

Interesting thread...except for Ryan's Billy Joel vid, (one of my fave songs), I have never heard of or, heard most of the groups in this thread.
So, a good viewing and some pop music education for this ol'goat.

This eve we listened to Mozart piano sonatas, KV 331, 332 & 397, played by Mitsuko Uchida, (who I saw live at the Suntory Concert Hall in
Ark Hills/Roppongi Tokyo, and in Carnegie Hall), a couple of Wolfie flute quartets, and some Dolly,EmmyLou&Linda belting them out in Trio II.
A bottle of 6 year old New Zealand Riesling and a platter full of grilled wahoo, aka Kingfish, accompanied the music, as dindin.

Hard to keep up with the young bulls here, but very interesting.

PS: as for "fave song(s)", I have several dozen: rock, Celtic, instrumental,
jazz, and of course classical, but you are all bored to tears neway.

JCL, I think I recognize that song from the movie "Walk the Line".

Brit6, I like B.o.B. as well. "Nothin on you" wasn't bad either.

M.D. I recognize Mozart, Carnegie Hall and New Zealand Riesling. Otherwise, I am clueless. I do know this though, sometimes when we eat dinner my wife will insist on tuning the stereo to the cable music stations that play classical and some of it isn't that bad.

Yes, Johnny Cash and June Carter had a hit with it back when Dylan and Joan Baez were also singing it. You heard Joaquin Phoenix sing it in the movie. Melissa McClelland has a different sound, but the same song.

I laughed at the scrolling yellow words, and at the 2:43 second mark!

Pretty good song/video there. I like it more than any others posted on this thread. (other than by me)
