Just purchased a 2010 GX460 Platinum Pkg

I still have the X5 wifey is driving it now. I just picked up a 2010 GX460 platinum package...much different ride than the X5. The Gx will be used mainly for business purposes and the X5 has replaced the 04 RX330 for her and the kids as well as that is what we will use on the weekends. So far love the GX...this is 2nd Lexus...I wanted the RX450h, but the tax incentinves for me it made much more sense to look at the GX...it is over 6,400 lbs. I drove the GX the whole week and got back in the X5 this weekend and can say that I missed driving the X5...it is so much fun and my wife loves the way it rides too. She liked the RX330 and it was a great SUV...but I know that she likes the X5 more...I washed and waxed it this weekend for her and wouldn't you know it she has already managed to get a little curb rash on the right front rim...

Got to give her a little credit though when I asked her how she did it...she said she was trying to park closer to the curb so no one would hit her doors!

I don't personally find it very aesthetically pleasing but if it rides like other Lexus SUV's, I'm sure it is smooth and comfortable.

Not a real fan of Lexus due to handling but it is a nice looking truck and it should be very reliable.

Was this the model that needed the stability control reprogrammed?

Looks clean and sharp. Don't know if I personally would have pulled the trigger on it after CR publicized the tipping and stability problem with this vehicle. With the way I like to take off-ramps, I would likely flip it over at the first opportunity...

I know Lexii are nice and I'm sure make great vehicles, but they are just so bland and uninspired.

The LF-A on the other hand...

Well guys did not think that the crowd here would love the new GX but still wanted to share here too. As far as the styling of the GX I think you need to see it in person I love the way the new GX looks, my sister in law has a 4 runner and side by side they look nothing alike at all. Compared to the older style GX it is a huge improvement. The gvw was the main factor in my buying decision. RX450h would not work did not weigh enough looked at a few others but I love the new design of the GX...it is OK if you guys and gals don't I still have a X5...
