Weasel will become famous soon enough
That looks awesome! I wish I had a big, well lit garage to paint in... I got a few bugs and a few runs in the clear on my E36 from painting it outside near dusk right by the woods haha.

I know I'm late, seeing as I haven't been around, but I just saw that you rolled your X! Oh man, sorry to hear.

Thanks to everyone for your comments!

Mustang is back at the painter's garage for assembly and buffing.
She's not perfect but good enough for local cruises.

Sorry but still crappy phonecam pics. Car is dusty, not washed, and overcast day.

Mustang Update

Some people were asking for an update. I've been pretty busy lately and the car is stored almost 1.5 hrs away from me so couldn't work on it as much as I wanted.

Was able to install the four side scoops, rear bumper, flip-open gas cap, tail panel, tail lens and frame. Car is dusty and dirty in these pics.

Here I'm trying to capture the pearl "fire" both in the blue and white paint.

New tires & wheels and hood locks installed

nice, nice..

cannot recommend a 428cj-R swap -- the car was b.a.r.e.l.y able to handle itself with the entire factory drive-line changed out (ladder,stagger-shocks, on and on). When my brother used to uhmm.. hurry-with-friends.. he scared the shazbot outa' most since the car moved liked a bumble-bee and would present it's ass to their door as it slid a quarter lane over before the posi could lock up.. he wound up putting -monster- Ford-van radials on it as wide-ovals was 'spensive.. took him down to under an eighth-lane slide-over.

the winner, as far as -I- know for cowl-twisted-doors-barely-close-now convertibles of the era, lol. Hemi's had nuthin' on cj-R (tuned for proper jet-octane, o'course)

Thanks. I'm debating whether to stroke the 302 or swap a stroked 351. With the swap it means more work, more money and more time. Not sure if I want to go down that path any longer. LOL!

You know how it goes, upgrade power now you need to upgrade suspension, tranny and the list goes on.

I think I'll finish this as best as I can with my resources and then step back and assess things then.
