Procedure requires fresh gloves for each pat down. You should not need to ask.

TSA inspector using old gloves should have been reprimanded.

And while we are talking about it, WHAT set off the positive to begin with?!?!? THAT should have been a concern. So a positive, then new gloves, and all OK? Nobody says "hey, where'd that nitrate come from?"

Defies logic, I am inclined to say BS...but this is TSA afterall.

I'm not completely sure all what elements yield a positive but i myself went through something similar several years ago, coming in from overseas and catching a connecting flight in the US. If it weren't for an older mentor i were flying with, i would've gone with the flow. He had cleared security and was waiting for me as a clerk pulled out gloves from his back pocket. My travel companion asked if the agent could grab a fresh pair of gloves. The agent said they were a fresh pair, and my companion insisted that we'd prefer to see him grab a fresh pair from the box. I didn't set off any positives but i've learned many travel tricks to travel smoothly, from seasoned flyers.

The colleague that tested positive works on film production sets...and was returning from a set location. I'm not aware of anything on that particular set that would yield a positive. She's quite an attractive gal...her theory is that perhaps the agent just wanted a closer private inspection

Nothing showing MD. You may have to save locally and then attach.

LM, I was being lazy, and didn't "save" to local docs; sometimes I can get away with C&P, w/out saving.
JCL, thanks...that was it.

And another horror story vid appears, all over breast milk... Gotta side with the lady on this one, she even had printed out TSA regulations and they didn't follow them. I think I'll either take the train or drive if I have the choice now until the current system changes.

"The land of the free...."

Don't just quit flying, call your elected representatives and tell them you are quitting flying. Or just call your elected representatives.

The system is broken. Letting it continue to be broken is giving in and letting the terrorists win.
