Cool! M5 engine in a E90. Wonder how this will compare to E60 M5.

Excuse me That's pretty crazy. I wonder how they got the V10 to fit in there, plus transmission mounting. I think itshould destroy the M5 and the M6 provided those rear tires are up to the job. Then there's this, "Customers can choose between two dual round (or oval) tail pipes." I can't believe it's going to be produced.

Hum! a V10 in an M5 is indeed impressive but I do not like the black and grey color combination . It looks like a German police car to me.

I agree with you ,but I believe the black is carbon fibre! They should just apply this material on the roof like the on the M6 !It would look better.

Any guesses on how much they'll sell it for? You can already buy the e60 M5 crate engine (S85) on realoem.com. The engine is $24k and the transmission is $9k. If someone really wanted a project, I suppose one could buy a 325i and some solid drivetrain parts, and stick it in there. You'd still be far less than the cost of buying an M5, and it'd most likely be faster.

Thanks for the info. I thought the M5 was still using the v8 400hp. 550hp in a 3 Serie that must be totaly insane.

I thought I read somebody on this board wanted to put M5 engine in X5, a few months ago.
