I encourage my wife to drive my x5 all the time, but she refuses to drive it. I think she's intimidated how the v8 grumbles. She prefers her small sedan cars.

True. A friend just last week said "let's do skip barber in the spring", and when I asked "you can drive a manual now?" that plan got scrapped.

Other than giving my wife the nick name "curby" for catching a curb on the rear sidewall 1 time she does drive the X5 with no issues. She doesn't leave crap everywhere and is very careful where she parks it too. I'm fortunate to be married to a woman who appreciates our cars and our X5. Other than that no one drives our vehicles except for a mechanic if I'm not doing the work.

Guess it's the same with everything.... I'm not so meticulous about cleaning the house.

I let everyone drive mine because (1) it's 6-7 years old, and (2) it's just a car.

- only rule is - you break it, you fix/pay for it

So far, just my husband. But I do have a couple of cars he hasn't driven once I heavily modified them.
