Also, hydrogen is not a dead. It's main downfall right now is a lack of infrastructure. It is one of those technologies that may not be fully developed and matured for decades. Don't count it out in the future.

I think hybrids have place in city driving with lots of stops and goes.
They make great cabs and police cars.

I do most of my driving on the highway in non rush hour conditions therefore the benefits of a hybrid is very limited for me and not worth the cost and weight. My wife is a green person and blindly wanted to get a hybrid but now understands (sometimes) why a hybrid is not the best car for us. To say that everyone should drive a hybrid is wrong but to say that hybrids are bad for eveyone is also wrong.

I'm very biased though, I think hybrids are a bunch of BS. And the Volt which is incorrectly still marketed and called an electric vehicle is also BS. Huge money for something that will NOT be good for the environment with all the old batterys. Feel good is all hybrids are about. I feel better now too.

The only electric (hybrid, full-whatever) car I would buy is a Tesla. And I would lease it. And only if I lived in Monaco so I would never be too far from its little charging pod thing.
