What about the CTS-V Coupe, did you get to drive one of those?

I read an article online recently that the CTS-V line is one of the hottest selling cars in Dubai. I'm an airline pilot and fly there frequently, you do see a lot them on the street, good for GM!!

1M coupe is one amazing ride on the track. Had lot of fun. Amazing grip on the slalom. With short wheel base it has very good handling on track. Its going to be one heck of a track car.

Was it stock or did it have track mods? Also how was the turbo lag (if any)....was it unpredictable or was the car ready when you were?........Phil

As stock as it could be. No turbo lag whatsoever, power is there when I needed it. The car has lot of potential.
I have not seen any reviews talking of turbo lag on 1M.

I have not driven one, but I find it hard to believe BMW has truely eliminated the lag. It IS there on the 335 (and every other turbo engine they insist doesn't have it). I know they have done a good job minimizing it, but I don't believe they have eliminated it in any of their turbos. Although the torque is much better, these turbos still have lag compared to the N/A M engines.
