I don't understand those prices though. For example, "Assuming your iPhone 4S is in good condition, Apple will pay you anywhere from $285 for a basic 16 GB model up to $345 for a white 64 GB phone." That seems to be a lot...

My daughter "needed" an iPhone for high school. I bought her a new iPhone 4S 16GB through AT&T and it cost $199 (obviously with 2-yr commitment). I'm expecting Apple, AT&T and others to reduce prices on the new 4S's when the iPhone 5 comes out too.

Diagonal screen is 4". width is same. Don't know about other smartphones as their sizes range from one extreme to other, but here is a comparo shot with iPhone 4 and 3G



Rear shell pic of white iPhone 5. This could be a test mule as it has black strips at top and bottom. The earlier shots were all white.

It's interesting that the iPhone 5 definitely appears to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary compared to the 4S (like going from 4 to the 4S model).

I've been waiting for the iPhone 5 for over a year now and, even though I'll buy one, I don't think that it will be that "exciting".

I actually thought that Android or Microsoft would have a competitor to strongly consider by now too but that hasn't happened...

There are pretty strong competitors actually..the S3 Galaxy would be one of them...in comparisson to the 4S that is...as far as the 5 goes...ill probably get one as well for a lil bit then off to Europe just like my 4 and 4S

No, I was talking about in comparison to the iPhone 5.

My iPhone 3 and 4 and soon the 4S get handed down to other family members.
