My official title is Sr. Solution Architect which is basically a software engineer with a fancy title. I was VP of Development in a public company I co-founded but we got swallowed by a big corporation so now I'm just a cog on a wheel. Less stress but not nearly as rewarding.

I'm currently an engineering and die setting trainee at a leading non-ferrous metals foundry.

I'm also an assembly contractor for ABB in my spare time, specializing in Air Handling equipment.

Retired age at 52 four years ago - was CAD/CAM programmer, supervisor, tool room sharpener, Quality Control supervisor and inspector, estimated labor costs for quotes, expeditor, etc, and threw in a helping hand where ever needed. The fun thing is I got to do them all at the same time! Worked for a small machine shop that used to do alot of large aircraft fixtures and tooling for Grumman, as well as a number of other large one of a kind machines,parts,etc for other companies. Oh, yeah... also the boss's son. I actually made most of my money in the stock market from 1991-2001. I was lucky enough to know when to sell.
