New Years resolutions for '06

Hope everybody had a great New Year celebration. For me it was just a quiet time at home with some family members...nothing too exciting .

Anyway here are some of my resolution for the upcoming year:

1. Get in better shape and eat right. As of now I'm physical mess with all work and no physical activity. None, nada!

2. Stop procrastinating: this has gotten me into trouble my entire life and I need to put an end to it.

3. Stop putting money into the X: for God's sake it has enough stuffs already. My X has more presents than anyone I know and it's not even asking for it .

I think that's about it. What about you guys and gals? Let's hear your New Year resolutions.

1. Quit smoking (this time for real).

2. Lose weight.

All at the same time.

Won't be fun.

Juan

Looks like we all (myself included!) have at least one resolution in common - lose weight! I could stand to lose about 15 lbs myself...
To that I'll also add eating right, and balancing out stress with some relaxation. (The funny thing is, the X is a source of both!! )

Stop making resolutions
Most of the time we don't keep to them anyways... just try to do everything that is required, in its own time

Juan,

I know that different methods work for different people, but if you want to give a book a try, this one helped me. It's short, it's a narrative, it doesn't preach, it doesn't try to fool you, it doesn't try to scare you. I and about 10 of my friends have all read it, and while it worked for some and not others, the people that it didn't work for, it acted as a starting point. The best thing about it is that the author tells you to smoke while you're reading it.... 'nuf said.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/140...lance&n=283155

The name of it is The Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Alan Carr. I highly recommend it. It's only $15 and it might help you. And if not, well, it was $15 spent on reading material instead of smokes

Good luck, I know how hard it is. I just quit 2 weeks ago and I'm in the "not sleeping phase" and it sucks big time. I'll see how I do tomorrow while I'm out at Ryan McFadden's watching ND kick some ass in the Fiesta Bowl, it's going to be tough as I like to smoke when I drink.....
