there was just a state, maybe new Hampshire that passed a law regarding this.

I am guilty of only clearing half my windshield, especially if its icy and I have to scrape it vs. just sweeping it off.

and while I agree that everyone should slow the fuck down, slow drivers can be just as dangerous as fast drivers in the snow when you have someone driving unreasonably slow vs. someone in an X5 say, who has no problem in the snow.

I think up here in Canada winter tires should be mandatory in every province... they are not in Alberta, so you get a lot of people driving cars with bold all seasons with the claim "I've been driving for X number of years, i know how to drive"... I am not saying that having winter tires will eliminate the risk of an accident but it for sure decreases it by a lot...

Interesting, I thought they were compulsory in all provinces... I've been in some nasty snow in Alberta, so I'm shocked.

That said, winter tires are so freaking expensive....

Only Quebec. BC requires winter tires on some mountain roads, but accepts M+S tires. Quebec is about to eliminate the All Terrain and LT exceptions as I understand it.
