Buying a CPO M3--need some advice
So here's the deal. I'm buying a lightly used CPO'd 2013 M3. Went to the $tealership today to close the deal, and upon inspecting the car closely, I noticed some things that give me pause. There are lots of tiny chips in the hood and the windshield, as if the car had been driving behind a salt truck for an hour. It's so bad that even with a buffing machine and some wax and elbow grease, the sales manager offered to repaint the hood (full paint, not just clearcoat) and replace the windshield with a new OEM part.
What should I do? Would you still buy the car knowing this, or should I move on? Not many 2013s around, and this car is just the way I want it (Interlagos Blue and Carbon, DCT, and lots of other goodies). The manager said there will be no record of either repair in the Carfax.
