Put your boxing gloves away my friend...

My homework not needed. I just ask a question, Either she said it or she didn't. And seeing as how you know more about all the candidates than any of the rest of us i was asking YOU for the fact-check.

Try again.
Thinkprogress.org Yeah...That is a credible source which is the link you provided with the title Gov Palin on the issues.

Basically a hit piece with bits and snippets arranged to mislead. But you already knew that. Thinkprogress.org has an agenda. I'm pro McCain but you don't see me posting quotes or links to Michael Savage on Obama.

I am more concerned with the sources in the article. If they would not have hotlinked their sources, then I would agree with you and not waste my time posting it because it would be unverifiable. Kinda hard to mislead when they provide you with the original source to check the facts.

Michael Savage is not Reuters or The AP.

No gloves necessary because we can agree to disagree. I've never claimed to know everything nor am I claiming to be right all the time. That said I do recognize a junk source when I see one and Thinkprogressive.org is hardly an objective source. What is your take on that website? Your opinion on the site will say loads about your objectivity.

To answer your question this is how I understood the conversation. There was a discussion which Palin make a statement that only abstinence can guarantee a teen won't get pregnant or an STD.

When it later was spun by the liberal media and her opponents she clarified her position which she clearly stated that she was for teaching abstinence along side birth control because not all teens would get that message at home.

That is how I understood her position.

Besides...It hardly matters if she flipped. Name ONE candidate running that has not flipped or flopped on one, two or three occasions.

Sure but he links what he wants you to see. Just like Thinkprogressive.

I wonder how they left out her ACTUAL stated position on teaching birth control in public schools.

I guess they overlooked that link to a source. As they did on several of those issues. You see, providing only the information which makes your case is delusional and meant to mislead others to believe the case you've made. Science is full of theories which ignored facts to prove a specific outlook or belief.

I see where the problem is. In 2006 she had an abstinence-until-marriage sex education position while running for govenor, but is now for teaching birth control in school. Just your typical flip flop. (Join the crowd)

What other "several of those issues" did they get wrong?

Dude...She as is Obama a political candidate. So are you saying that your precious Thinkprogressive was being honest stating a position she MIGHT have had in 2006 while leaving out a VERY clear position in 2008?

Besides the title of the article in the tri-cityherald was titled
Palin's position on sex education remains "murky".

As in unclear. Now I realize they meant that to mean that her position is still unclear; however, I argue that her recent statement is VERY clear.

The 2006 one however is not so clear.

Question: Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?

Answer not quite so clear cut: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.

I'm for birth control but I'm not for some of the explicit sex education proposed in San Francisco which wants to teach alternative lifestyles.

Also in 2006 she stated she was pro-contraceptives which also was not clear.

So...Yes she could have been more clear in 2006 but she was absolutely clear in 2008 and that information was omitted.

I only ran across Thinkprogressive.com today during a google search on Palin's position on political issues. Their site could crash and burn for all I care.

If the GOP would allow her to be interviewed, we would not be having this discussion right now. I guess the world will get its chance soon enough. I guess then we will learn whether she was a member of the AIP... on second thought John Gibson is conducting the interview.

Sorry Krimson you've been mislead again by the Loony Left. The rumor that she was a member of the AIP was proved false and the NY Times recanted the claim yesterday. Unfortunately they reported the story was false on page 14.

Now from what I understand is her Husband was about 20 years ago or something like that. Still...Keep pulling the wagon for the Daily Kos and others like them.
