Obama comes out swinging

Poking fun at McCain not being able to use a computer in a new campaign ad.

Unfortunately, his staff did not research the real reason he avoids the keyboard before throwing together an attack ad as he slips back in the polls.

Seems there was an article in Slate back in 2000 which talks about McCain and his computer use.

From the article in 2000

"At 63, he is the oldest of the bunch and because of his war injuries, he is limited in his ability to wield a keyboard".

http://www.slate.com/id/74812/

Great job Obama...Make fun of a war hero who was beat and broken in a prisoner of war camp.

Might want to be careful with the rhetoric there...it comes across as you giving unconditional support to a broken individual for the highest elected office, doesn't sound too bright.

There are far better quotes about McCain and his lack of comfort with modern technology, you don't have to go back to 2000. I think he used the word illiterate himself. Doesn't have much to do with manual dexterity.

But then again you're an Obama supporter.

Unlike you I have no problem supporting people with disabilities. Just look at Stephen Hawking and his contribution to society and explain why a person with a disability should not be allowed to contribute even for the highest office?

Now who sounds silly?

You missed my point by miles.

Let's go back to the start. I didn't make fun of McCain, or any people with disabilities. I made fun of your rabid efforts to slam Obama at every turn, as you are pretty funny sometimes. You said McCain was a beaten and broken individual. That doesn't sound like the sort of person you would want in the White House. Your attack on Obama backfired and made McCain look like a lousy choice. I thought that was funny, not the disabled part. Now who sounds silly?

I don't think physical disabilities have anything to do with it. Broken in spirit and mind doesn't make for a great leader. We know his computer use (or lack of) has nothing to do with physical disabilities because McCain himself said that it didn't. He used the word illiterate to describe his own computer abilities. That doesn't mean disabled, just unable. The physically disabled card was played by apologists from his party, it was 8 years ago, and he denied it himself. Drop it already.

Now, did you compare McCain to Stephen Hawking? I just threw up in my mouth.

The mayor of my city is in a wheelchair. He carried the flag at the Turin Olympics in that chair. He has been a champion for the disabled. He is a so-so mayor IMO, and his own party has chosen another candidate for the next election, but that has absolutely nothing to do with him being in a wheelchair.

Obama was making fun of his inability to use a computer when the truth is McCain can't use a keyboard due to having his hands broken in a prisoner of war camp. His body is broken which is what we are talking about. It is said that everyone breaks under torture but McCain when left with an opportunity to go home said "no thanks"....It was not his turn. I don't consider that broken. His body is another story.

That sounds exactly like the person I want in the White House. The Obama camp made yet another mistake in an attempt to play dirty politics.

Nice of you to give him a pass.

You just skipped all the facts again.

Check out McCain's own comments on his ability to use a keyboard. Illiterate doesn't mean lack of dexterity. Obama was making fun of him being out of touch. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I wasn't laughing at McCain, or Obama, just at how your first post backfired on you. Don't worry about it.

Oh, and can you get Stephen Hawking to run instead of Palin? That way the average IQ on the ticket would solve the current problem.

Come on MrLabGuy.

I don't think Obama was making fun of his inability to use a computer because McCain can't use a keyboard
due to having his hands broken in a prisoner of war camp. I don't think you find that language anywhere so give that a rest.

If anyone was making fun of his inability to use a computer it was for no other reason
but to point out that brotherman is out of touch with at least that part of what's going on in the world.
To make any more of it than that is frankly a weak argument.

To say that because Mr. McCain has any better judgement regarding the ability to run the government
just because he was a POW is off base as well.
No one i know of considers him a better candidate because of that.

Remember presidents are not elected because of their moral stand and their ability to
stand up under torture. While everyone admires that, in reality no one cares about that.

What people care about is what is your vision going forward? What are you going to do for me?
Retoric is the watchword. Who can sound the most convincing.
Who can sell dreams ( chicken in every pot kinda thing).
It's whose the most effective at playing the pipe and get everybody
dancing to their tune. The pied piper thing. It's all a big show.

Issues are irrelevant because everyone already knows that
you can promise all you want but in reality no one ever
really accomplishes what they set out to do. There are just
to many forces in place to prevent it.

It's fun to watch though. It's like going to a liers convention.
