That's your state so to equate Obama's election in that regard would be off base.

What do i think will come of this?? I have no clue but i will tell you this; Any positive attitude i have has nothing to do with Obama and his election to Government. Certinally i hope for the best but i learned long ago that putting faith in men and what they say can bring no happiness so I don't waste my time getting stressed out about the promises politicians make. It amazes me that decade after decade the same ole thing and people are still hooked on the promises made.

Is the view good from the cheap seats?

It's not that m8...just the pessimism of this thread...Obama won and it seems everione here is throwing white flags...Give it some time before judging...and at least be happy for the fact that we are done with GWB

Couldn't agree more - Bush was a disaster, and in my opinion the main reason why McCain lost yesterday. Obama's success was as much an anti-Bush protest as a success of harnessing the media. Personally I don't think it mattered who stood for the Republicans, anti-Bush feeling doomed the campaign from the start.

If I may....I live in a country where dirty politics such as guns, goons and gold is the name of the game, I have but admiration with the way your election has turned out.

Regardless of who won the election, all I can say is that you should be proud to live in a country with so much resources to get around. A lot of my countrymen would die just to live the American dream. Peace all!

As a proud American I have a hard time understanding how this can be good for America.

Oh well...We've made it through worse so I guess we can survive Obama, Reid and Pelosi.
After Bush anyone is better.

Obama is not part of the Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, Jessie Jackson, machine that is why I supported him. He is a smart well spoken man that happens to be black. That is why the country elected him.

x54.4blue,

This is my biggest problem with (most?) Obama supporters. They keep saying he's black. He's as white as he is black...

Can we get away from the racism? The reports and stats that I was seeing on CNN was saying there was really not a race impact on the voting but that ageism was a much greater factor.
