Obama is not who I voted for, but he was elected President and there isn't anything I can do about it, so I might as well wish him success because at the end of the day the well being of the US depends on it.

I just hope he doesn't go too far left with all the Dems that will be pushing/backing him.

It will cost my company more than $50k, which is about equivalent to the salary of some of our younger staff. Income is the same, and I have to make payroll. If the government throws another $50k on me, something has to give.

And, before you say cut your salary - I've invested 10 years and over a million dollars in my own business. I risked everything I was worth, my kid's college educations, everything, to make this work. I deserve some return on that investment.
Amen

I very much did not want Obama to win, but I think I can give him a shot. Even as a lifelong Republican, I started to get teary-eyed during Obama's acceptance speech about moving on, joining together, and facing the many hurdles ahead of us. He sounded like a moderate. Hopefully he will govern as a moderate and not as a liberal as many of us think he will.

And hey, the silver lining is that if he does turn out a disaster, the Republicans will put a strong candidate up in four years. I do like Mitt Romney since he is an economic conservative. Also, they say Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal may be the future. The ineptness of Carter did bring us eight years of Reagan.

As of about 7pm Pacific time November 4th I support Obama as President elect. It is my sincere hope he governs from the center and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt out of the gate. The rest of my opinion of his Presidency depends on his actions going forward.

One thing is for sure, he inherited a mess not only from Bush but the Democratic Congress as well.

Tell you what...If he does a good job he has my vote next election because I don't see much in the future of the Republican Party on the horizon.

I remember a whole bunch of Americans saying that George Bush was not their President. A bunch of those Hollywood know-it-alls were going all over Europe running him down. Even Michelle Obama, our soon to be first lady, said she was ashamed to be an American. I am guessing she, at least, has changed her tune.

Stay Gold Pony Boy. It's cute.

This didn't apply to Democrats.

It is absolutely essential for the citizenry to question the policies of their government - in fact it is your duty. Obama is no different. The fact that the press can't contain their glee, or that he has rock-star celebrity super-status, does not give him immunity.

After all that has been said about our current POTUS, it is a bit more than hypocritical for any Democrat to now say "Back off- he's your President." PUHLEASE.
