A little off topic...but the speech was quite partisan at the beginning, but at least there was some concession and admission that both sides of the party have been quite extreme and non-constructive. Obama really knows how to give a speech!! But the substance of the speech is what is in question...
Anyhow, I cannot see how the Republicans who are the minority in the Senate and House stop the Healthcare Reform bill...It seems like the Democrats are the one who is having problems getting full support. None of the Republicans have been invited to discuss. All the Republicans amendments to the Healthcare Bill have been rejected. So much for bi-partisianship...May not be Obama's fault, but certainly Pelosi and Reid have been running partisan politics.
And the misinformation is not only coming from the Republicans, it is also coming from the current Administration and Democrats. According to Axelrod, Nurses & Doctors support Healthcare Reform (I agree), but many doctors DO NOT support the current BILL in its current state and last I checked, NO physicians have been asked to consult in this important piece of legislation.
Anyhow, it's funny how Pelosi's face did not move during the whole speech until Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst.
