This can't be rationalized away. Trump chose to downplay the danger of the virus so the economy and the stock market would not negatively react.

All he had to do is layout the extent and urgency of addressing the problem then and what can happen if we don't all do our part. Here is what your government is doing and a timeline for the implementation of the plan. Here's what we are asking you to do for your country. Just answer the questions of what, when why and how in a plan stating the objectives, strategies and tactics to defeat the virus. Any business person of any consequence should be extremely adept and experienced using the process.

What the Woodward tape exposes is he was and still is OK with betting our lives it would go away then and now that it is under control and we have turned the corner, it's going away. It's not going away.

I agree.

But I also think there's going to be people who continue to interpret these facts differently than you and I.

Truer words have never been spoken. Though, you guys are deciding the outcome of the game before it's been completed and all the stats are in. I called the CDC and WHO stance correctly back in February. Was that a conspiracy at the time? I'll wait until this game has been played before ruling anything out. I'm hoping the current consensus is correct and this was not man-made and either accidentally or intentionally released from a lab as that has much larger implications and possible repercussions. But it's just a consensus at the moment and has certainly not been proven.

Good luck to you for your chosen candidates. Though, the outcome doesn't really matter. The wealth gap will continue to grow, as will the national debt. But if the Democrats don't fumble the ball I think they're going to walk away with more than just the presidency. I vacillate between Biden and third party... we'll see how I feel in the booth. They're all crooks.

Have faith, Crystal. The inner characters of these candidates will shine through eventually, for better or worse.

I like to think it'll be for the better.

Like you said before, the election isn't just about the presidency, there's the local elections and the state level as well. They are all important in their own way.

Although I have to say I'm vastly disappointed at what came out from the orange bang these last few years.
