The date that has been made available, with WestFest IV being penciled in, is Saturday, September 30th. Don't go booking flights or making solid plans yet. I'm going to talk to the guy again in a day or two and make sure that we're in. There is a possibility that a later date in October might be available. He will be pulling the file from the last event to look over the details and then he will be confirming with the owner of the place that our previous deal is still good. I might have mentioned this but last time they waived a $6000 site fee. When you see the site, you'll understand why they can charge that much. Keep your fingers crossed.

I will update you all again when this date is confirmed or another is selected. Thank you for your patience. Once the venue is secured, everything else will fall into place. I'll put up a website with all the details and hopefully will be able to line up some hotel deals as well.

Stay tuned!
It's been a week, Kev....any updates???

For Michelle and others who are equally impatient:

I got a call last week from the even coordinator at the venue. I sent her the information about the event and she was going to review the file from the last WestFest to go over costs, etc, and she was going to get back to me after reviewing that stuff and talking with the owner. Standing by....

Add me to the list of folks that are not impatient but trying hard to make this meet. If it's Sept 29-30 i won't be able to make it either. I know your doing your best though so i'm Looking forward to the date.

It seems a lot of folks can't make Sept. 29-30. Remember also that Monday October 2 is Yom Kippur. Are there any other "pencil-in" possibilities? What about Oct. 14-15? The following weekend will not work as most everybody south of the Mason-Dixon Line will be drunk starting Thursday night due to the Auburn-Tulane game.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a change in the schedule of this to either the weekend of Oct 14th or Oct 28th
