I know he did, I just love to bust his balls. Looking forward to catching up Joe, and I am also looking forward to meeting your new X5 . What do you think, Tulsa Rib Company again? I have not had good ribs now for over 18 months .

Good teamwork, Kev and Chas!

Although, late August through October scares me. I'm just praying it's not September 16-17, October 7-8, or October 21-22! That would be baaaad! November sounds perfect. (I know you have no control over the dates, but I had to throw it in.)

I like that WWE theme...

If me&theCEO get out there, I'm coming as Dick the Bruiser.
He was my Fave back in the late '50s, early '60s.

Otoh,
Ol'Dick, who used to climb in the ring, grab the MC's mike and proclaim
that he had been training on cases of beer and cigars, in a JD gruff voice,
looks a little like SuperGreg with 50 lbs of steroid bulk and a few more hard years.

Dick could kick some azz, though.

Hope this Meet fits in the ol'Retiree's schedule: I suspect it would be a hoot,
or as much of a hoot as those laid back LeftCoasters can do.

Now that's more like it. With a mug like that your bound to get a lot of love from somebody. He looks like he's had been training on cases of beer and cigars. How long do you think it'll take you to get that body?? It will be a hoot if you show up looking like that.

Crevier is not in the Palm Springs area....

I talked to The Man at Crevier BMW in Santa Ana and he is willing to sponsor as they did last time. That was a big issue to resolve before forging ahead. The kind of meet I want to have cannot be done without the support of a dealer like Crevier BMW. (They are the largest BMW dealer in the country.) Last time, they came up huge for us. Those who were there know. We're hoping to make it even better this time around and this time The Man will be bringing his own Carbon Black 4.4.

No date has been set because I am waiting to hear back from the venue. I do not want to do it anywhere else because anywhere else wouldn't be good enough. The place is worth the wait because it is really incredible and totally private with lots of room for X5's and X3's to park. The date will depend on when I can get in at the venue. If I can get this place, know that it is in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area of California.

Stay tuned for more info. I'll be sure to keep you guys informed.
Kevin,

FYI: Crevier is not in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area...In fact, it is about 100 miles to the west of PS/PD in Santa Ana.

My two cents: Why not Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas, California? Their dealership (physical size) is larger than Crevier and they are 10 minutes from Malibu....Can you imagine a caravan of X's along Pacific Coast Highway?

Chris
Kevin is well aware of the location of Crevier . I used to live 12 minutes north of Crevier in Orange, CA. Beginning with WestFest1, Crevier has been our sponsoring BMW dealer at all 3 previous events. I organized WFI & II in Orange, and Kevin organized WFIII in the PS area. At WFIII, Crevier even fully catered our event and had the food delivered all the way from Orange (Tulsa Rib Co.) to the Palm Springs area. We would not even think of another sponsoring dealer. Crevier stepped up to the plate first, and they get the first right of refusal. Joe Hernandez (Parts Manager) is a first rate individual, and goes out of his way to make these meets special.

Are you sure that Bob Smith BMW is bigger? When is the last time you saw Crevier? FYI, they have expanded.

The caravan is a great idea, and there is no reason why it still can't happen. The sponsoring dealer should have no impact on that.

So in summary, Joe and his team at Crevier are very good friends with many of us ol' timers here, and they will always get the first invite to sponsor events.

I hope you can join us at the next meet
