Im just looking for a car that I can just use as a dd and for school for the next few years and then dump. I went in looking for a base 328i, but then I drove the 335i, and it had so much torque and power. It was a great drive. But the numbers are too expensive on both, so back to shopping.

Maybe you can compromise and get a pre owned 330i? :)

My X is under a cpo warranty right now, and it is terrible. I am only looking to get a new car so I have the maintenaince program. However, I was checking out an Acura TL-type S. For the same price as the 328i, it was fully loaded plus 284 hp and quad pipes. I have no idea what I am going to do. I might even find my way over to Audi.

you can add an extended maintenance warranty on CPOs ;)

Yea, I know. But for the money, it washes the 328i out.

On the 335i, which was priced at $48k, they offered me 0 down and $725 per month. The 335i had everything but nav. For a trade in, they offered me $19,500 for my X, which I told them that if I gave it up for $23k, it was a steal for them. I want to know what you guys think about these deals. I personally think that they are very high. Any suggestions, advice? Thanks.

what's the money factor? what's the residual? what's the tax rate where the car will be registered?

need all of that to know if the lease is a good deal or not.... gut feeling is that the 328 deal is a bit high and the 335i is a complete rip off. I was paying under $700 WITH tax in the lease for my '04 X5 (purchase price in the mid $50k's). The money factor must be very high now.

The money factor was .00165, I believe, and the residual was 63%. I am just looking to lease, and I know for sure that I will not be buying the vehicle. Tax is 7.75%.

Using this calculator:

http://www.edmunds.com/apps/calc/CalculatorController

Your payment should be ~ $707. ($650 bank fee and $750 acquisition fee that it won't let me zero out). So you should be under $700 for that car.

The lease factor = ~ 4% loan. (.00165x2400)
