Peace Happy. Let's keep it light and breezy. You seem to enjoy jokes and beer like me.

p.s. try to be nice to BC as well. He's got a good heart like you.

He has taken too many positions, abortion for example, that are contrary to what the majority of the US population wants. It appears that the Trump base is fading. Republicans are looking like they would like someone that wants to bring the country together rather than destroy democracy and further the division. It appears there are growing concerns that endorsing Trump or a Trump like candidate will put the jobs of some republicans in congress at risk, negatively impacting the support of Republicans in congress. My guess there are many that are hoping his is indicted. I think the task of the Democrats is to choose a younger candidate that is strong and with a proven record or a prominent celebrity. My preference would be a comedian.

Bill Maher perhaps? I love his wit and opinions on this country's state of affairs.

I thought Zelensky is doing well as a leader. At least he didn't abandon his people when Russia invaded.

Bill Burr has a straight shooter attitude on a lot of issues as well. I like how he dislikes women who choose to have an abortion but backs their right to make that choice regardless.

Peace it is Maruzo. I like breezy! Yeah, I’ve been known at times to be a joker. A cold beer on a hot day, yum! Although these days I’ve been keeping it 0.0% alc., but their just as refreshing.

BC and I have expressed our feelings thoroughly. By now I think we should be capable of finding common ground. It is my opinion that BC is a very intelligent person, and I know he means well with his suggestions.

Thank you for the heart comment. I do tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. :D

While I see the reasoning here...and perhaps yes maybe "republicans" may want what you say.

I just dont think "republicans" are in charge of the party any more. Its christian nationalists, populists and anti-democratic authoritarians.

They thought they could unleash this monster to serve their bidding. Not working out so well....

My wife and I finally got this latest mutation of Covid. We went to a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the North Texas Golden Retriever rescue. The next day the host called to say she has Covid. My wife had a long conversation with her and I did with her husband. We both have had the vaccine and the two boosters. Delayed our vacation to Wisconsin. We had a cough and runny nose like a summer cold. My wife is fine. I still have a dry cough in the evening. I had it twice. i got it she got it and I got it again. Both times the same. I didn't stop doing things around the house, even mowing the yard with temp at 104 degrees. C'mon and celebrate the rescue. Menu is surf and turf and Covid for desert.

Glad to hear you guys weathered it well. It almost seems inevitable that everyone will come into contact with it one way or another. I’m going on almost as if this thing doesn’t exist anymore. I carry a N95 mask on me and only put it on if I hear a cough around me or if I just didn’t feel safe for whatever reason. LOL

Still haven’t caught it but it maybe I’m just asymptomatic. Fingers crossed!

We still don't eat at restaurants and wear masks indoors (shopping, etc) but now that the kids are in school... we'll probably drop those practices soon as we wouldn't ask the 5 & 8yo to wear masks all day when most of their peers aren't. So I'm sure we'll be getting it again this year at some point.

Glad BC and his wife had minor affects from the virus. Yes, we are all going to get the virus, or have had it and didn't know it. You must be in the dwindling minority now who have managed to totally avoid it.

Ours was a bit worse than described for my kids and wife (I was basically as BC described, and still did things around the house as well), but would still consider it no worse than a flu for the rest of the family.
