Can we get away from the racism? The reports and stats that I was seeing on CNN was saying there was really not a race impact on the voting but that ageism was a much greater factor.

It's nice for a change that when our president speaks, people will actually listen to his words rather than wonder when the next stupid thing will come out of his mouth would be. I don't follow politics too much but everytime I saw the guy I actually feared of embarrassment for him. That's reason enough to have a positive attitude for right now. Doom & gloom is speculation, based on nothing this person has done. This person was elected, not everyone like him.

I don't know why people are comparing to what could've been (McCain) when there are so many inherent unknowns - what if McCain were elected by key states - where does that leave the mindsets of the MAJORITY of the voters?

Compare it to what we've already had the last 4-8 years. When you put it that way, what more can you want right now?
