maybe I've got the wrong name, the standard OEM detatchable towbar for the X5. They are called swan necks in the UK because of the S type shape of the bit with the ball on it.

beep 3 times (not on the ceiling)
anyone know what 3 beeps mean ?
Got into the car last night and when I started it up it beeped 3 times. Nothing on the computer display.
About 20 mins later it beeped 3 times again...

And its picking up.tuned to classic as it's green.
It was grey with my old non TMC CD, and RED when you first switch on (not tuned in).

arm rest top storage bin use ?
In my 2001 X5, the top arm rest bit comes up to reveal 3 shallow areas for storage of stuff.
One of the sections is U shaped and has a spring loaded button thing at the back of it.
