Yes I tried pressing up. Also removed the dome light to see if there was something that needed tightening up. Where are these clips located?

The chatter comes from near the dome light.

Headliner Chatter

Is there any easy way to fix the headliner chatter. The headliner in my 2001 X5 3.0i has a chatter from near the dome light. Headliner itself is in good shape.

Thanks for all your replies. The key cut in the two keys is not the same. The ignition key does not turn the door lock cylinder and vice versa. Visually too, the key cuts are different.

I have a Seiko watch which gets discharged if left to sit for a long time....

I am not familiar with the keypad you are talking about. But it is worth trying any inductive charger. Trick is the orientation of the key fob while charging.
