I had similar issue...found out that tensioner needed to be replaced. I got the belts replaced at the same time and everything is back to normal.

My '02 3.0 OEM Xenon headlights (low-beam) seems to be diminishing and/or projecting a not-so bright beam.

Can I upgrade the bulb or do I need to get an upgrade kit?

Sorry for not being clear -- the front struts need to be replaced. The dealer quoted me $1500 for replacing left and right front struts.

Oil Change Vacuum Pumps?

Has anybody used a vacuum oil change pump on the X5 -- this invention appears to be really nice for an easier / cleaner oil change. I know some mechanics use it on MB.
