FWIK, there's a baffle that opens after 3.5k in all `06? X3's to effect an open/free-flowing exhaust ie. reduce back-pressure. In the 'sport exhaust', this baffle is left open full-time.

Yeah, the DSC off button only turns off the traction control. The vehicle is always in 4wd/awd which is infinitely variable from 50-100% between the front and rear wheels.

Yeah, the warning triangle only comes in countries where it is mandated. We're too dumb in the US to include and use these in passenger vehicles. I've only seen them used for commercial vehicles....

Should be. Check with local BMW dealer to see who they use/recommend for wheel repair. Standard issue these days with all the alloy wheels out there.....

I thought the heater mirrors come on when the outside temperature falls below a certain temp. eg. 32F. Same for the heater windshield washer jets... no need to turn them on seperately.

Like was posted on the 'other' X3 message board, the 2.5L's are still generally plastic bumpers whereas the 3.0 has the painted bumpers to differentiate the 2 models....at least that's what it's like...
