The transmission downshifts to lower gears as the car is slowing down and should be in first gear when at a complete stop. the jolt is happening...

It is a good idea to disconnect the battery...

It is a good idea to disconnect the battery negative. Make sure connector pins are clean (no oily residue). Plug in ABS module, then reconnect battery, that's it.

it sounds like it's a transmission issue. check transmission fluid level. tansmission should still be under manufacturer warranty. relax and take it to the dealer.
