I'm having the same issues as you after replacing the carrier. Seems like there is not enough tension on the cable or cable is too long. Maybe actuator getting worn? Were you able to resolve this...

Anyone have the problem where you just replaced the VANOS seals but after several hundred miles you still see that it's leaking down the head? Is this just common for V8s? 2002 4.6is.

Hey everyone,
Has anyone ever experienced the RPMs dropping very very low when coming to a stop? They kick back up but then the car jerks a little. Almost like the engine is about to stall.
