HELP: did i just loose my tranny?

hey all
for the past couple days, ive had a fast acceleration till 2000 rpm then very very slow acceleration till 2500 rpm, past that the car picks up speed like hell as usual (4.6is).... on 3rd 4th...

have the same problem .. have replaced vanos disks on 01 4.4 but didnt solve the prob. on v8 there is no seal to replace unlike other mdels, just entire disk.
still couldnt figure out what pbm is

its the cable that connects the gearshift to gearbox that needs to b cleaned on the gearbox end. difficult to open the head of the cable but inside youll find a little disk that turns whenever u put...

same things happen to me ..dips from 5th to 4th (only from 5th to 4th) and around 2500rpms as if the car could pass that rpm limit and needed to dip to get some acceleration then comes back to 5th...

mdear all,
i drive an 01 4.4i x5 and my car has no power/acceleration under 3000rpm, and to get speed, it continuously downshifts to reach lower gear to get acceleration from higher rpms....
