hmm. thanks for your help .are you sure the sensor on my car has the light sensor included as this was not true with my early e46 windshield i had to change the sensor and the lcm.

looks like you are not doing the checksum correctly i always select the calculate checksum option in ncs and let it figure it out. I think you will get a 4 and not a 0 as you posted above.

simply read the module change the trc file as you wish then rename the trc to .man and code ..if you screw up then load expert profile...

You could also look on ebay for diagnostic software [ inpa etc.]with a usb interface and learn how to activate and or test any component in your car using your laptop
