My clicking noise turned into a cranking noise on the left wheel, when I swivel the steering wheel. I can even feel the cranking under my foot. Only happens for the first few minutes when it's cold....

I have a 2006 4.8is and it has the built-in BT phone. However, as far as I know, you can't pair it with any other BT phone, except the built in one.

keep our finger crossed.. the ESS sales replied with a vague answer that I should check their website for any product updates. So hopefully it'll be Q2 2011 :-)

I do have trouble with a rough idle on cold starts (below -10C). But I guess that's an issue for many other X5 models, and not 4.8is...

I'll give it a try on the weekend. The loose connection is probably in the wires going from the unit to the screen. I'm not sure, if the problem is in the connectors...
