Don't feel too bad about the cost... my Indy cost $1400 just for the VC gasket job. But I trust their work, and in some ways that is priceless.

The shift points are slightly higher in sport mode. Of course I've been trying to baby the transmission thorough this "second break in", so I'm not sure how accurate that is.

If it was your pads the "Check Brake Linings" should appear on your gauge cluster. If just the light is on, it could be low fluid or your eBrake. I'll let others chime in with more educated info!

I highly suggest OE BMW rotors. As for pads, I have 90%+ less dust with PBR/Axxis Deluxe pads but don't really like the feel too much. Heard many good things about Hawk HPS.
