Although its branded as a 4x4 tax it also affects most performance cars aswell as its down to Co2 emmisions not the size of vehicle.

The torque is just amazing, it feels like it only needs one gear! a good prod of the throttle at say 40 mph deosnt even...

Lucky for me its was an ex-BMW management car so came with all the Individual goodies and was no more expensive to buy second hand than the regular model!:thumbup:

Just replaced my written off modded Volvo S60 T5 with this ex BMW mangament '06 535d M-Sport Individual. It was remapped by DMS last week to around 345 BHP with 700 NM torque!

Sounds indentical to mine. With the hot weather we've been having in the UK recently, the fan noise is there alot of the time. You can actually hear it engage and disengage.

I can see why you'd want to do it for aesthetic resaons, but ultimately you're going to change the handling balance of the car on the limit...ie in an emergency situation.

Its definately an engine noise, does sound like a massive fan and is engine speed related. It comes and goes. Seems to do it just after start up...

I figure there's a choice of 2 supercharger conversions, ESS or Dinan. Unfortunately Dinan dont have a UK distributor and the kit is almost double the price even though it uses the same supercharger....

Im seriously thinking about having the ESS supercharger conversion on my car. Been quoted £7000 fitted by Linden Special Vehicles here in the UK to do it which sounds a bit expensive but palletable...
