Dunno what it's like with the M54 thermostat but the only way to go for the M57 is OE (or as close as you can get, i.e. verified OEM supplier). They last ~10 years, where-as some aftermarket brands...

Well done and yeah, the PDC system is great. I have an overly-sensitive transducer on the front that I'll swap out next time I have the front bumper off (not removing it just for that!).

If the locksmith wedged the door frame to gain access, you probably have a bent upper door frame... it no longer sits tight against the door seal. Can be sorted at a panel shop.
