Just figured out the screen displayed when every iPod has been connected actually says "ready to disconnect". Is that normal? That is something I'd assume would be the equivalent to ejecting a USB...

Posted in the E53 forum, but only seem to have folks knowledgeable with aux ports.

I have a 2006 E53 with factory Nav and DSP. A previous owner installed the BMW iPod Interface, which plugs inline...

Hoping someone is more familiar with the Apple stuff....

I bought my '06 4.8is a few weeks ago, it has factory Nav and it does have DSP. Come to find out, it already had BMW iPod interface...

Just picked up a 2006 4.8is, it has factory nav and DSP. A previous owner has already run an iPod adapter (30pin) into the glove box. I don't have Apple products, so I picked up a bluetooth receiver...

Figured I'd make an intro thread, figured the lounge was the place to make it.

I was a BMW tech in NC for about 9 years, got sick of the dealership politics and moved on to emergency...
