I've got an 80G Video with 1.2.1... and my setup seems to be devolving day by day. Today the stereo wouldn't even recognize that the DICE is installed (MODE button toggles from radio to tape only). ...

So, I went thru the battery disconnection again, pulled the fuses for the 3rd time, and checked all my connections again. Finally got sound from the DICE, and that sound is better than the FM...

Situation Normal, All Under Control.... [Whew]

Who knew that flickering dash lights and kerklacking Xenons were signs of a dead battery, but that was it. Thanks very much to Halston and JPuma.

The way the X5 acted last night made me think...

Cpatzer - thanks, that's my plan of action

I don't blame DICE for this - all I did there was to plug in the 3 and 6 pin connectors. What I think I blew was sinking screws into the carpert under the driver's seat. My [very] bad. Thought...

Cool Anybody tried Infinity Kappa 60.7 in doors?

After some extended listening, I find myself wanting more bass from my setup of 4, 5-1/4" midbass drivers. Vocal clarity is better than the stock system, but overall there's little punch, and its...

Just to sidetrack the thread...

Are there any aftermarket drivers that fit the 6.25"/65mm enclosures, bigger than 5.25" units?

Favorite Tahoe Tires?

Winter's here, my capable Grand Cherokee has been replaced by my new (to me) 2001 X5, and I'm a little worried how it will be in the snow compared to the Jeep. Fixed 40/60 torque split,...

Can you point me to some Korean instructions on a simple sub install? I just did the BSW Stage 1 deal, and from 80Hz & up it sounds great. BUt there's absolutely no low end, and I'm not a basshound...

All I can say is, I tried again and am pleased

The night the speakers arrived, I figured I'd start with the easiest bit first- the dash mids. I was working in my cramped garage (dark outside), and as I said above, I wussed out. Per my separate...

Yup, Nav, non-DSP

The cool, motorized, flip-out Nav screen is pretty impressive until you see that it unveils a cassette player. BMW should have designed an 8-track player for the system as well.

Cassette to CD Conversion?

So I've got the utterly worthless cassette player in my 2001 3.0, and given the limited number of inputs with the stock stereo (I want XM and would like an iPod input as well) it'd sure be nice if I...

Brand Noob here, is this firmware or map update?

Just bought a 2001 3.0i and luff it, looking around for things to throw money at. The engine seemed pretty maxed out from the factory (CAI's and chips don't seem to do much) so I want to update the...
