I read about this earlier today. I'd rather they recall the E53 with N62s due to valve guides, or the M62s for timing chain guides, but they wont because no fires.

According to Crowz, fuse 7 in the glove box is ACC on. I used it myself for a usb charger. No interference or issues. It's actually the radio fuse.

So they have no idea obviously.

Mine's routed to my ashtray, along with a switched micro USB power supply that I ran from the fuses in the glove box to the ashtray, still without doing anything except pulling the heater controls....

Even quicker to pull out the heater controls (no screws at all), plug in the 3 pin connector and route it wherever.
Takes 30 seconds all up.
