Just had same issue. Clip 7 was fixable with little bending, but clamp 6 (plastic) was broken for me and trim is little bit off. Clamp nr6 is fixed under b pillar somehow, so changing it may not be...

I had same issue (2004 model), connected my iphone 6s to my cars bt with bmw scanner (there you can delete devices, change car bt name and password) and it connected also for a few seconds....
