I actually just started having this issue about 6 weeks ago and for the time being I just pulled the fuse for the soft close and just close it myself. Works great and I know it isn't a permanent fix...

I finally got to replacing the CCV yesterday. The car is definitely running smoother but I have not towed yet. I will do a test run this weekend and report back after.

So it seems that the issue was not fixed at least from a towing standpoint. I took the camper out for another "dry run" yesterday and sure enough as soon as I hit 65mph I went into limp mode again....

After driving around for a few days I can say that the issue was always there because general drivability is so much better. I just never pushed it hard enough to cause the limp mode.

1 - When I deleted the EGR, the plate that goes on the hole near the turbo was on backwards so it was allowing boost gasses to pass by...
